Note:  Patient’s age and sex are required on request form for processing.

Container/Tube:

Preferred: Lithium heparin (light green-top)

Acceptable: Serum Gel

 Draw blood, spin down within 2 hours of draw and send 1 mL  of plasma or serum.
Note:  Include patient’s age on request form.

Reference Values

Males:  2.8-8.0 ng/mL
Females:  0.06-0.82 ng/mL
