Methodology

Test may be performed at employer’s laboratory of choice. If laboratory is not specified, specimen will be sent to Quest Diagnostics Laboratory in Lenexa, KS for testing.

Specimen Requirements

A witness of the same gender will observe patient collecting a urine specimen.

 

1. Submit 50 mL (minimum volume:  30 mL) from a random urine collection using Drug Screen Kit. No preservative.

2. Split specimen if required, and affix chain-of-custody tape across top of urine container. No STATS are accepted for this procedure. No specimen substitutions.

3. Place specimen and completed chain-of-custody form in a sealed bag.

4. Send specimen at ambient temperature.
