Specimen Requirements

Submit an entire 24-hour urine collection in a urine container. No preservative. Refrigerate specimen during collection, and send specimen refrigerated. Although a 24-hour specimen is recommended, if a random specimen is sent it will be tested.
Note:  1. Starting and ending times of collection are required on request form for processing.
2. Follow instructions in “Urine Collection—Decatur” in “Special Instructions.”
